When I meet people for the first time, I say "ohayougozaimasu" and bow. I show honor to them.
2.Is it different for different people? How so and why?
Yes, It is different culture and custom for the country. So, it was decided by several country.
3.Do you touch people when you talk to then? Why? or why not?
No, I often make a gesture, but I don' t touch people. If the listener doesn't hear my talk, I may touch you.
Do you touch your friends when you're talking to them?

Don't you think it is strange to say "ohayougozaimasu" even if it is noon.
